A graduate of the Juilliard School, the British pianist Nicola Eimer has performed as a soloist and chamber musician across Europe and America. She has won prizes at competitions including Dudley, John Lill and the Royal Overseas League, and was also a featured performer on the Tillett Trust Young Artists Platform.
Nicola has given concerto performances and recitals at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, St John, Smith Square, the Barbican and the Wigmore Hall, and has featured as a chamber musician in concerts for both the Kirckman Concert Society and the Park Lane Group. She plays regularly for the London Chopin Society.
As a chamber musician, Nicola performed with the Eimer Piano Trio for over ten years, and now regularly performs with other musicians such as Richard Harwood, Ariel Horowitz, Fenella Humphreys, Christoph Richter and Maria Wloszczowska She is a regular class pianist for the IMS masterclasses in Prussia Cove, and has also been invited to take part in their Open Chamber Music sessions.
Beginning her studies in London with Danielle Salamon, Nicola went onto the Royal Academy of Music with Christopher Elton. She received generous support during her studies from the Countess of Munster Musical Trust and the Delphine de Martelly Trust, as well as winning a Fulbright Scholarship to study in New York with Joseph Kalichstein.
Nicola is an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music, and she teaches piano and chamber music at both the Junior and Senior Departments. She also is the piano tutor on the Academy’s LRAM course.
